IN-STUDIO POLICIES

  • If you are 20+ minutes late to your appointment, then you may lose out on your appointment and on the deposit given to secure it. Some bookings will be charged portion of the service as a no-show/late fee. Please note we are typically booked back to back and do not have the flexibility to honour late clients.

  • We require a non-refundable and non-transferable 50% retainer that goes toward your services on the day of your event. If you cancel your services for any reason, either fully or partially then the retainer will be forfeited.

  • We generally reserve weekend mornings before noon (Friday-Sunday) for bridal parties or group bookings. Please inquire further because we always like to accommodate our clients if and when possible depending on your date and time request.

  • All photos taken by any artists from PearlGirlMakeup Studio or the photographer on the day of the wedding may be used for promotional use (e.g social media, portfolio, website). You can request your assigned artists that no photos be taken if you do not want your photo used

  • Your colour matching appointment for hair extensions will be charged $25+HST for no-show to your appointment

  • Your credit card is required to have on file to secure your instudio appointment

  • We cannot be held accountable for allergic reactions that may occur during or after our services. We always suggest a trial to test that the ingredients in our products agree with you.

  • We require a non-refundable and non-transferable 50% deposit that goes toward your services on the day of your event. If you cancel your services for any reason, either fully or partially then the deposit will be forfeited.



Bridal Trial & Booking Policy

1. Trial Appointments Must Be Booked Through Email
To ensure proper coordination with your assigned wedding stylist, all trial appointments must be requested and confirmed via email. This ensures:

  • Your trial is scheduled with the same stylist assigned to your wedding day.

  • Your preferences and feedback are properly documented and communicated.

  • The service is treated as a trial and not as a general session.


Trials booked independently or without written confirmation from our team will be considered regular hairstyling services and may not be performed by your wedding day stylist.

2. In-Studio Wedding Trial Appointments
We welcome all brides to book a Wedding Trial through our website. Please note that booking a trial does not reserve your wedding date or guarantee the same artist for your wedding day.

If you are a current PearlGirlMakeup bride or will be receiving makeup and/or hairstyling services from PearlGirlMakeup on your wedding day, please contact us by email to schedule your trial appointment. This allows us to coordinate your trial with your assigned artist whenever possible.

Wedding trials are a standalone service designed to customize and perfect your bridal look before your wedding day. As this service is fully performed at the time of your appointment, all completed wedding trial appointments are non-refundable, regardless of whether you proceed with PearlGirlMakeup for your wedding day services or if your wedding day booking is cancelled for any reason.

3. No Assumptions of Trial Without Written Confirmation
We do not assume any hairstyling/makeup appointment is a trial unless it is explicitly stated and confirmed in writing or booked as a trial. Professional Makeup/Hair service that is booked on our website is not considered a trial appointment. Feedback from a general styling service will not be forwarded to a wedding stylist unless it is booked as a trial and clearly associated with a wedding booking.


MOBILE POLICIES

  • A minimum booking of 5 people is required per service type and per staff for any weekend mobile bookings. If you are unable to meet that requirement, we could still honour your parties services but your quote would reflect our base charge. For weekday bookings, if our availability permits, we may make an exception to our mobile minimum. A mobile fee would be applied.

  • A travel fee of $1.50/km is applied to all mobile bookings and from our studio location (373 Bridge St W, Waterloo, ON). This will be applied per staff member to travel out to your location.

  • If there are any parking tolls/fees then these are to be paid for on the day of the event or charge to the credit card on file.

  • We cannot be held accountable for allergic reactions that may occur during or after our services. We always suggest a trial to test that the ingredients in our products agree with you.

  • All Rates are subject to HST including CASH payments.

  • A non-refundable retainer for each person requiring services must be received in order to secure any bookings. Bookings work on a first come first serve basis with a retainer given.

  • The expiration date set on an estimate represents a soft hold on the calendar date and details outlined therein (pricing, policies, etc.). Once your quote expires, the soft-hold is lifted. Bookings are only secured with a deposit payment.

  • Prices are subject to change at any time. Rates are only guaranteed if stated on the estimate you receive from us (must not be expired) or if a retainer has been received for your services.

  • Once the retainer has been received, no services can be deducted from the invoice/contract. Doing so will result in a loss of retainer towards the specific service(s) you are wanting to have removed. After it has been paid, the retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. If time allows and you wish to add services, we always try to be accommodating given we have the availability to do so.

Achieving the Perfect Tan

Our goal is to give you the BEST spray tanning experience! We thrive on providing each client with the smoothest spray tan possible.

In order for you to have the best tan possible, not only it's up to your artist to be able to have the right formula and technique. We rely 50% on the client to arrive at their tanning session prepared.

We offer 48-hour complimentary spray tan fixes to guarantee satisfaction. Please note, we must be notified within 48 hours of your appointment. If you are not available within 48 hours of your appointment, we must be notified of your concerns within the first 48 hours.​

We do not offer refunds on Spray Tan Services due to the type of service. ​

We are more then happy to ensure your spray tan comes out amazing with our 48-hour complimentary spray tan services.​

It is not recommended to book a Spray Tan service for women in their first trimester of pregnancy. If you are breast feeding, it's highly suggested to book the Golden Express (Rapid solution) and will be required to wear a disposable bra.

Running Late?

For us to create a beautiful spray tan, please ensure you arrive on time for your In-Studio Tan.

This ensures each client receives the allotted time required for your Spray Tan. This will also ensure your Spray Tan Technician can do a thorough Spray Tan. Arriving late to your appointment cannot guarantee a beautiful, smooth spray tan! 

PearlGirlMakeup has a strict late policy. If the client shows up 10 mins late to their In-Studio appointment, PearlGirlMakeup has the right to cancel the appointment and charge the client the full-service rate. ​

Please let us know as soon as possible if you are going to be late! 

Need to Cancel?

We completely understand things come up! Please allow us at least 72-hours notice for cancellation of your spray tan if you wish to avoid cancellation fees.

Clients cancelling within 72 hours of their appointment will be required to pay 100% of the service to continue booking at The Golden Pearl Tanning.

If you need to reschedule your spray tan appointment, please allow us 72 hours at minimum prior to your appointment and your preferred appointment date.
